fighting with magma is way more restricting if you don't want character killing

I think magma would be cool, even if lightning can do more damage I feel like magma will have a physical aspect to his damage that would fit in with Shiva(if your thinking to expand his abilities)

Magma would be nice. Lightning is over used

Magma is too restrictive. No matter how you amped that, it's just molten rock, or if you really pushed the ability and can compress it for the thing to explode, it's still too limited. But if you say that he can control the "Magma" on the mantle, that's another power all together and not part of the "magma" power, more of a "seismic" power.

I like the magma more since there are already a large variety of characters who control and use lightning. The magmas difference would be an interesting concept since not many characters use it but the possibilities are fascinating if they cool it it's obsidian and more both lethal and non-lethal techniques would be a challenge to find.

Or the power of heat or fire of primordial origin with earth control like if you super heat the fire you can kinda produce lightning and also magma if you mix earth with extreme heat

yeah like at first it just to melt them but later can sort of turn body into Magma so attacks either pass through no harm or can regenerate from damage to a certain level since I think that one Invincible villain with similar powers died after their head got hit bad but if it's was his body he healed

any maybe make cooled Magma fists for punches that don't burn since if following Avatar then Magma is a mix of earth and fire bending.

if I can control Magma can I become it or make a cooled down kind like to capture bad guys and the worst they can possibly get is some minor to slight bad burns? I say it depends how you wanna develop these powers. since when it comes to lightning I tend to think a bit like Livewive can turn into energy, Static Shock, or like Infamous Cole powers. As for Magma not much comes to top of my head besides that Disney Hercules Titan. but Magma powers would be cool.
