I think he is beginning to like her beyond the instinct and he is also learning about her, how guarded she is, that she panics, and he did remember that she doesn't like socialising. He is seeing the broken woman behind the tough one and he is seeing her more gentle side where she agreed to stay with him the night and even the morning if he needed to.

I think the mountain overnight trip gave Malachi a clear head on things and his choice of Queen. I have always loved Ravina’s assertiveness but was worried lately she would accept being a mistress. Glad she put it out there and was clear about her position letting him know he can't have his cake and eat it too. She is worth more than that and I think he is beginning to learn that
