The evolution of beldum has always been a very... weird thing? I think it will depend on how you intend to make it evolve. I saw in some fanfics where the mc needed to have 4 beldums to evolve into metagross, in others he needed a large source of his own psychic energy or an external source (like an evolution stone for example). so it will depend on that, if he has the beldum too late and he takes a long time to evolve and be able to fight, but if he appears earlier he will have more time for that. so it will depend on his plans for his evolution, this is my opinion. happy for your return

Beldum would be great but I'm biased as it's one of my favorite pseudo legendary. Tho there is some cool alternatives I say slowking is slept on AF imo. Or he can swoop up a victini lol. But honestly axew and beldum have slow growth so he'll need something to balance it out.
