I think I know where this is going ....... the elves will ask for help then maybe the elven king or the kaiser will suggest that the elven princess be betrothed to prinz Frederick and the outcomes was...... since the elven king doesn't have male heir then the elven princess will be the future Queen but still betrothed to Frederick becoming his german queen consort...... basically the queen of that elven Kingdom and kaiserin consort of the Kaiserreich at the same time in the future or their eldest children will be the heir of both thrones if that is to happen it's either that elven Kingdom become just VERY close to German Kaiserreich as the future German Kaiser/Kaiserin was also their king/queen under the total influence of the Kaiserreich just like the Habsburg monarchy where the monarchy countries under and RULED BY A member of them doesn't necessarily become one country or get absorb to other Habsburg ruled country but still separate and still under their control and influence or got ABSORB into the Kaiserreich entirely
