In South Africa every employee is entitled to 22 days paid vacation annually, 10 days family responsibility leave (five days when immediate family members are sick and 5 incase of death) annually, 4 months maternity leave and 36 sick leave days in a 3 year cycle. Government employees get 30 days vacation after 10 years of service and 8 days paid leave for antenatal consulting.
