Chloe is being a drama queen; like her life has been uprooted and she supposed to know nothing is going on? That would have worked if she was 4-5 but not now. Chloe needs to put on her big girl pants and level with Mackie because if she doesn’t she puts them in greater danger if Mackie lets something slip all in the name of “protection”. No, I don't think what she did was useless, her daughter will see how much she tried to endure for her sake, even if it didn't keep her from knowing, it also is a huge testament of her mother's love & care. she may have a sorry a×× dad , but her mother makes up for it in terms of care. :)

this type of women are those that I hate the most, protecting her innocence is important but against who? A psycho father who is capable of instigating other children to bully his own daughter to spite his wife? or is she waiting for the violence to extend to the child before making her understand the kind of monster she's putting her trust in, there are better ways to make the child understand that her is sick and he needs help rather than making her believe he is an Angel and later suffer from her ignorance of her father's dark side.
