I think the explosion should have happened one to five chapters later. Should have covered what he learnt and his social interactions first, like Aria meeting the 3 others, and stuff. Maybe not so much on the first but certainly the second was important.
Tsk. it would have been better if Aria wasn't there. it kinda ruin the mood of mc's adventure time. like dude, you're basically carrying an excess baggage. I'll put this chapter as one the worst in this novel Author.
