Poor Ember… I think she is already managing to control the bond a bit by what Draven did. As frustrating as it is, I think it’s extremely sweet how Draven himself has now reached a point where he wants Ember to want ALL of him truly and completely. Having it not being influenced by the bond alone. He is seeking a deeper connection with her and is even willing to torture himself and ignore his primal instincts to attain it. Ember might not understand this yet but once she does she will realize just how deep his feelings are for her.
He didn't tell her that this pleasure leads to consummating the bond. She's not gonna put the two things together by herself. She asked herself what this has to do with biting & completing the bond. That tells me that she's still not getting what it all means. I know that she's innocent and naive but she can't be THIS clueless. Draven could've told her this is how it all starts when they complete the bond. I think she would be even more ready to do it if he explained it to her.
