Jian said he'd take the place of death instead in his nightmare.....I wonder if that's why Veah got a second chance at life to make the changes she needed to.... and perhaps the result is why Jian is so cold, since something in him died so Veah could live again......
I was wondering the same thing.....maybe this is why he was so mad that Xenon had her mark? Also, since he holds Xenon's reverse scale maybe that's the reason Xenon feels the pull to Veah because he feels what Jian feels?
