Comments of chapter undefined of The Black Necromancer

Okay, I must have missed something here. Are the Desolate Lands on the Demon Continent? If they are, why would humans, knowing that they could die, leave everything behind and follow him without objection? It is one thing to follow where safety is unknown, it is another to follow knowing that danger and probably death are very, very likely. If indeed the Desolate Lands are on the Demon Continent, then it is unrealistic to say that people will follow someone just because they are they strongest, without really knowing them. I understand that this is a world where might makes right but I also understand that these aren’t animals, or stupid creatures incapable of cognition. These are humans + creatures capable of cognitive function and I’d be hard pressed to believe that they would just follow blindly like that.
