This was a beautiful chapter with the combination of multiple emotions and mysteries. It reflected pure love, concern, care and đ heartbreak, while Timotie and Vince were perfectly handling the humor. I wonder why would the siren think that Vince's previous self killed the mermaid and her mother? Soon every secret will be unraveling.
Vampire brother vindicated! đŚâ¤ď¸ So, some of my predictions came true. Vincent and Eve ARE meant to be together and it's not a case of her having been meant for the werewolf (or Noah, or James). Acheron, the proto-Vincent, didn't kill the mermaid or the Goddess. It sounds like King Gauntlet may have been the one to kill her, for power, like we suspected. Marina, the proto-Eve, did kill herself with the dagger and did not get killed with it by someone else. It seems like Nerissa the stalker is and was dodgy, despite her supposed love for her sister and mother. They say there is a fine line between love and hate. My prediction: the body Eve-in-Acheron's-body is seeing is the werewolf brother or the King. It seems like the golden moon was using to try to obtain the sea creatures' powers and it devolved into a massacre. Acheron was supposed to use the other dagger to kill Nerissa but ended up being killed instead.
So the chapter title is about the king's son's promise to the mermaid that he has to keep and do for her; but the question is, was he able to fulfill it afterwards? I doubt it as it still is in effect and as disturbing as it has been on Nehrys' latest descendant Eve with Vincent until now. If the mermaid Marina was the only one being marked at that time by the vampire son, and not yet the siren sister Nerissa by the other son, this would explain Eve's changing mark on her wrist. But I would guess the siren sister had first killed Acheron and not the other way around as promised by the latter to the former's mermaid sister. If Eve has gone inside Acheron's body as she is seeing another man's body; maybe this is to help him to follow and fulfill his promise to Marina? Nerissa could have thought that he had killed her sister Marina as she came upon this scene with Acheron holding the dagger given by Marina; mistakenly thinking this was the dagger used on her but wasn't as that dagger disappeared after Marina killed herself. But let's wait and see what is to be next in line here.
