Tbh, I prefer 3rd person. It's not a matter of skill but these character are really difficult to write the thoughts and feelings of in a really satisfactory way without revealing too much of the mystery upfront(show not tell sort of thing). I mean there's probably a reason why Cuttlefish himself only ever did one 1st person chapter in the whole series. He even explained that he wouldn't give Roselle a 1st person narrative because he would be a menace to write and that he is more effective from an onlookers view. Still, it was a very enjoyable chapter as always. Do what you want and if you want to try something new, I'd read regardless. Thanks
