I love the end of this story . The family reunion is so grate and Ann really endure all hardship. At the end her patience give her victory . XIoran is a good man and the hero of the book.
I can appreciate a person who obliterates an adversary. If one says one wants to leave, the other should comply. Ootherwise, it is tantamount to declaring open war. There can be only one ending once another refuses to allow one to walk away.
