Now that you reminded me of the subject author, when is the romance tag seen in the description taking place? I actually like novels with an male as protagonist with action and romance. I kind of expected that with this story. Still do. Don't know if I'm getting ahead of myself, because till now apart from some blushes from the cute little Kye, there's no lead to who the girl would be (the tag didn't express bl so...a girl I suppose would be his partner) And the times I was fooled to believe in that new girl in his life, they became just 'siblings'. ( I mean I was rooting for Sylvia when she first appeared.)
