I think he was reborn as well. Vivianne must have cheated on him with some other handsome or poisoned him or killed him in some way or the other. But before he actually died, he understood what was going on but it was too late.

haha not surprising he got rejected again, author did say that he will need to try more times before he obtains her forgiveness. my theory: it's all a huge miscomm. the guy who held her as she died was damon, and he didn't sleep with vivienne, it's all one sided lies made up by her. as for why he behaves so coldly to her in her life, still trying to figure that out but for now I'm going with the concept that he was trying to protect her by doing so

I think Damon didn't cheat on her in her previous life. I think it was her scheming sister who probably bought or had the jewelry made the same as the one she (Sienna) received from Damon to trick Sienna into thinking that her husband cheated on her.
