being late by a year is a blessing since I get to read 1000 chapters for free and the best part about it is that I've got 20 hours left,best believe that I won't sleep till gruesomely devours it all

As of right now there are over 400 chapters, so I’m sure this arc worked out reasonable well. My only gripe is that this demon race thing was kind of just dropped on the reader. The lead here has already lived a full life, but no mentions of other races have been made, in the last life or the current one. Not even the tiniest foreshadowing. This kind of makes it seem like the author needed to make the world more expansive but didn’t know how to introduce it fluidly. Hence it feels like an ass-pull. Mind you, I’m not against the whole ”demon king” plot. I just wish the author had prepared us for it so it feels more organic.

Story was reasonably decent until this chapter when the trite Demon King concept appeared. Now I'm pretty sure I know most of what's going to happen in the future and I'm bored without having even read it. Is there still hope? Sure, but the probability is low. I'll try to read more, but the excitement is gone.
