I really liked Ashleigh at the beginning of this story because she was portrayed as a strong, intelligent and fearless female but I have to say that her lack of intelligence is a huge turn off for her character. She forgave him for something so detrimental that easily? I don’t care how sheltered or young she is, this is getting ridiculous. Not very believable that she hasn’t caught on yet that Granger is just trouble.

it's frustrating but honestly i don't blame her. it's not easy to see someone you love and have a tender connexion as a manipulative person. it's not stupidity or weakness everybody can be manipulated with feelings. Granger just just know which strings to pull to have her where he wants her to be. remember it's easy to juge when you're outside the story. But if you think lile ashleigh for 2 years she tought she had a perfect mate, love, friendship and trust how can she turn back so quickly. manipulation as clever as granger's takes time

See? She’s so stupid! Her character is so unlikeable. This story is frustrating and tiring—too much drama. Granger and Ashleigh both deserve each other: one is insecure, obsessed, controlling, and evil; the other is so stupid, unable to discern the truth and incapable of conducting her own critical thinking.
