I'm both annoyed and impressed. I'm annoyed because despite their reasons, the family that abandoned him is still benefiting from him despite sealing him so that this exact situation didn't happen. I'm impressed because Lex is just so awesome that despite his decision that since his family abandoned him anything he gains, he won't include them they're still indirectly benefiting from his journey. I'm still wondering when it will be explained what's so special about his mother.
