prolly one of the worst chapters that I have read yet. How can you say so much without saying anything?? I feel like this whole thing of him being "suspicious" of the system and what it does is a really poorly chosen way to not make him too op(if that is what the author is trying to achieve with this)

wdym make him not too op? u ve read too many cultivation novels, from the mc's perspective things seem logical, to me at least. his best move is talking to the system. his goal is to learn as much info as possible, while keeping his future possibilities as open as possible

It is totally unlike him to ask such stupid questions. The main point is as to what does the system expect in return. Also, Lex is benefiting from various co incidences that are powering him up with the foundation built via the system. Now, author has multiple means of describing as to why certain situations would be difficult for Lex to get out from.
