Matheson is a liability. Too power hungry, reckless and unpredictable.

I can't see a reason for keeping matheson alive from the point of view of the leaders of the rebels he's of no real use and screwed up their mission costing even more resources now

Do we even know Matheson class? We know he has more or less infinite energy and not connected with magic yet. Can't his class be a unique one worthy to stay there and improve on for the rebels? Benefit of the doubt if it is valuable enough? 🤔
