I have been following this book for a long time, and I'm ready for a happy ending between Serena and Elliot!!!! Serena is pigheaded and self-righteous and selfish to give up her right to happiness due the words of a dying, bitter, and vindictive mother-in-law who stole her child straight out the womb due to blackmail by that crazy woman early in their lovestory!!!! I remember all the trauma and heartache this character has suffered, and I'm emotionally drained for her. Elliot and his sister are inappropriate in regards to the breakdown of their parents' marriage. Growing up, they should have noticed that their parents had drifted apart. That had nothing to do with them, and Lannie had a lot to do with it. She was not without shame/a past as well in the end. 🤦🏽‍♀️😔😪😡
