doesnt mean this grounding makes any sense with how long you are dragging it bro, a timeskip for the end of it wouldve been fine but instead we get the sociopath(which was the main reason i was reading this btw) acting like a good obedient boy and doing everything she says when its only gonna get worse from here, does this mean when he terraforms the planet and kills all the ones he doesnt want to save we have to go through anther boring grounding?
I like what's happening with the scolding and the connection Marcus is showing with his family, father and mother. We already had an idea of who Marcus is, but if it had just become a linear story without exploring other emotional aspects, especially with his family, the depth of Marcus as a character, his ambitions, likes, dislikes, preferences, opinions that may or may not influence him, weaknesses, and family, would have made it quite boring in my opinion. Without knowing this, it would become quite boring to me. I believe things like small scenes of comedy, romance, teasing, sarcasm, scolding, dinners, interactions with other characters with various levels of familiarity and emotions add color to a story and its protagonist. In summary, I like this story, this fanfic.
I thought it's a new chapter... anyway I like the way you created Marcus mother she's just like my mother well not that identical but almost the same even though I'm already an adult I still listen to her advices and I respect her, because I know how much sacrifice she did just for me to be borned and raised so I can under why Marcus listen to her mother so even though he's a sociopath he still respect her so I don't see any reason why she needs to be hated
