The training with pain part poses a paradox. Either he doesn't intend to stab himself therefore no vision happens or he intends to stab himself then he gets a vision then stops the stab meaning there should be no vision

yeah i think the power to see one second to the future is simple but amazing, even more interesting when that is the only power mc has but he trained it and bocame poewerful and with a little tactic and scame to defeat his enemies

Is this inspired by the Nicolas Cage movie, "Next"?

Nice star to the story I'm rather sleepy right now, so I'll probably start reading it in about 9-10 hours

Hmmm the first chapter is a hit wonky. The timeline with all the flashbacks feels off because its not indicated its no longer a flashback. Additionally, the mc isn't very likable. He's portaiyed as one of those 'I cut myself just to feel the pain' emo types, and it's given a supposedly pragmatic twist of reasoning by saying its for increasing pain endurance... This all happens in the first chapter as his prelude to the apocalypse. An apocalypse he supposedly dreamed of coming with a red moon, so obviously he knows its the apocalypse at the end of the chapter when he sees it... And his preparation is to cut himself to increase his pain resistance.....

1 second in the future is very weak but that's ok
