I think the MC could have 3 elemental affinities. Water for control. Wind for speed. Earth for defense. Also, they have good attack techniques, so the MC would be more versatile. I said only 3 affinities, because I think the author doesn't want to give them all to the MC. It's just a suggestion. I particularly like Lightning and Fire more, but aiming for what the author prefers being affinity with water, so I recommend having the 3. Water, Wind, Earth.

The monologue is a bit bizzare.
