It seems the author found a solution to two of my questions I have been having for a while: 1. How will Sunny be able to scout with shadows if they were beginning to be fragile during the Antarctica arc. 2. How will Sunny be able to train enough to challenge the ancient beings he will be coming up against soon. He’s now got more durable shadows and the potential to train 7x faster, possibly 8x in the future. Not to mention that he could pull some time loop training when he goes back into the pyramid.

what I like alot about Sunny's development all the way since the winter solstice was preparing him for this outcome 1- winter solstice - he gained the weaver's eye which started this whole thing...also he gained the mantle of the underworld..which became soul bound and didnt lose it..so he still has a potent armour even though he doesnt have the spell anymore also he is able to read the runes without the need for the spell to translate which other awakened rely on heavily... 2- 2nd nightmare, he learned how to weave in the red coloseum, which meant he can now create his own memories at will provided he knows the weaves... - also he has the soul snake.. so eventually he has a versatile weapon of transcendent ability... hence he doesnt really need another weapon memory... all he needs to do is summon it back from rain eventually 3rd nightmare - he tried learning how to make echos...and knowing G3 he will surely have sunny master ir successfully eventually so essentially Sunny didnt lose the spell... instead he found a backdoor program to accomplish what others can only get via the nightmare spell memories, echoes etc.... although its sad we cannot see his progress quantitatively since we cannot see the runes through his POV anymore... but who knows he might just be able to recreate the same effect by weaving something basic for himself
