So, I have a theory. What if the Tomb of Ariel wasn't meant to seal some forbidden knowledge but instead to allow Ariel to forget the memories of a specific person? I think it would make more sense that way as well as play more into why the Daemons went to war with the gods. Desire was imprisoned and forced to watch the kingdom that they'd built be decimated and destroyed before them. Maybe Ariel was close to someone, or even loved someone, and the Gods killed them or otherwise caused their death/corruption? I feel like this would be an interesting way to make sense of it being called the Tomb of Ariel because its purpose would have been to "entomb" the memories of a loved one. It would also make sense with the description of Weaver's interaction with Ariel because, if I recall correctly, Ariel was crying. Maybe the "secret" that Ariel felt the need to entombed was something like "love"?
