This chapter is probably the calm before the storm

if this is all setting up for Cassies sacrifice so that the rest can escape, ima be really sad. i think the waking world is gonna have like 2 weeks pass just about however much time they were running in the desert before the nightmare.

This chapter has so much finality to it. I really hope things go smoothly... well, as smoothly as they could.

Another thought, that I think others have brought up earlier, but is it confirmed that the group comes back to this loop as Saints later on? It explains the boat, how they became corrupted, why the corrupted versions of themselves don’t reset with the loop. The only thing thing I can’t understand is why Sunny’s Sin of solace is so powerful, current explanation is that it’s retain knowledge of the loops which is plausible…

I get the terrible feeling that Cassie has been aware of the loops for a while, but was forced to keep quite about it; seeing as she became aware of the time loop on her own while on the Island. I feel like its actually her and not the Mad Prince that came up with the entire flow of events, using him to achieve the ideal outcome. Being aware of what is going to happen at every step but being unable to speak of it because it would change the flow of events. In fact, it believe that the chest full of journals is actual a journal for each loop that she recorded during the two years she spent without anyone else, using that time and the knowledge of actions and consequences to map out her actions.
