this chapter just affirms my theory that the nightmares are the actual history they're being sent into and every change they make changes history, they just haven't realized it yet. it was also foreshadowed with how sunny's plague helped him to change how they complete the nightmare. I can't wait till they realize they're the gods they've been learning about.
Okay. So, a question I have is this: If Sunny and his cohort, including Effie, have been in this nightmare, challenging it for several iterations, which is why there were the 6 plagues, then wouldn’t the defiled version of Effie have given birth to her child? In the nightmare? I mean, Effie was pregnant before she entered the nightmare. Which means the defiled version of her was too. Which means that the defiled version of Effie, who never went through the estuary and started the cycle over, would have given birth… to something. What would the child of a defiled master or saint look like? Will they have to face that child in verge? Or is this an over sight that will be hand waived away? Or did defiled Effie devour her own child?
