i was just thinking, if sunny and them clear this nightmare, does that mean the other challengers (the millions of ascended) will come to Sunny's waking world? it makes sense in terms of the escalating power scale of the world. 1) a category 5 nightmare gate left very few people (saints and sovereigns) who could even hope to touch those monsters and according to Wind Flower, those gates will be more frequent and continue to release STRONGER monsters so millions of ascended landing into the waking world would mean more fighters but also potentially more saints so it would balance the seemingly hopeless odds sunny constantly expresses 2) the number of relevant characters is starting to dwindle with our crew already on their way to being some of the biggest fish in the pond and the number of relevant powerful characters left would feel very end-gamey to me and i feel like G3 has a lot left in the tank 3) the really odd nature of this nightmare keeps being expressed. Sunny and the crew share a lot of powers that are reminiscent of the Gods. What if Sunny's cohorts are meant (in this nightmare) to bring the inhabitants of the world to their waking by fate (aka Weaver)? that the point of the spell here is to stop the defilement by also merging the worlds of the Gods? Some have been lost already, but Sunnys cohort might be the catalyst for this change and it starts with this nightmare lmk y'alls thoughts!
