I have a feeling that sunny made some sort of a deal with Jet or the govt. to capture the Pyramid. Let's be honest, sunny and the gang are great but they're not enough in terms of firepower compared to the great clans. The best choice is to boost another well established faction and make it strong enough to keep both in check. SRU's goal might be the same as the great clans which is to locate the same suitable gate to initiate the Pyramid Conquest.

So close to being a tyrant, but he spent the shards on the imp first. Probably better as it is easier to get shards before becoming a tyrant, but had to be so bitter.
