Why wasn't Professor Obel evacuated sooner? I understand the government revoked his vacancy because of Beth, but even ordinary people were evacuated before them. They were literally at the end of the line. It makes no sense. If the government didn't intentionally leave Professor Obel at the end, I must be going crazy.
