I have been questioning this since the beginning so bare with my long question for a moment lol but - if they have an option, after their first nightmare to go to the academy or not, then surely some of the Sleepers are actually not from the academy? And also those who don’t do what Sunny did and go to the police/tell anyone about their awakening (I forgot what it was called) and survive their first nightmare would also be sleepers in the dream realm right? BUT then would their real bodies deteriorate without the machines in the academy? Essentially my question is what happens to ’awakened’ (?)/ first timers who don’t have any support or chose not to go to the academy?

So I have a Question where would a Gate usually be at?
