I hope Cassia doesn't die. I know we haven't seen enough of the characters to form a view on them but I am actually more interested in Cassia than Nephis. For one thing Nephis seems detached and aloof while Cassia even though she is seemingly destined to die she had the compassion in a depressing day to say a beautiful word that made someone else's day just a little bit better.
Ah yeah, this chapter beautifully portrayed the dread, tension and horror of the dream realm and nightmare. Making even us the readers feel a faction of its horror and hopelessness. Even though whatever faces they made outside they are all still humans or a child, so showing their struggle and fear like this showed them to be more of a human than some cold merciless calculating machine. This chapter is beautifully done I learned a lot.
