That was unnecessary stupidness.. a foreshadowed past which he was "betrayed" and a mind from modern earth should have been enough to know how that was a scam.

I mean, this is the MC that thought that everything will be fine as long as he follows the novel to the point to deciding to be retard and confessing to random girl. His intelligence was never his strong suit.

Besides the utter stupidity that was displayed by the MC in this chapter, shall we talk of the immense wasted potential that its currently being done by the author by not taking the opportunity to introduce the absorption of the memories of more parallel identities of the MC? He could get the whole life of a super sick sword guy or an OP mage and multiply his power hundreds of times on the spot, but all he got is the experience of a normal guy that red a novel regarding his World, like, ok that's useful, but the waste of potential it's insane if you don't get other ones!!
