I think this is a better change , compared to when you started just mentioning how he likes to be with his new family(not bad that , but like that many do not care) , more want an author valla to what the title says , to be a teacher , and this is a good change , just need to keep meeting more people or as I said put other Oc to make the story more dynamic, like for example you can put girls from the movie "residen evil", if you have seen it, you can incorporate it in your story and make it better, since it is fashionable to add it). *because if you are going to make your protagonist stronger he will have no rival or obstacles to overcome, but if you put in other series of zonbis where he can make it more interesting.
I love this approach tbh since he's already marking his territory and i bet saeko already have a feelings toward him even though she's still 5 years old ( i think she already have a crush toward ryu since saeko seems pretty matured even tho she's 5 years old).. Now im curious about is.. would you author still going to make that accident when saeko found out about her tendencies?? Or just let ryu save her to nail it down their relationship and let him help saeko about her tendencies??
