I thought one should never remove the object from the wound because it would just cause you to bleed out faster... on tv, they always wait for the ambulance without removing it and leave it for the doctors at the hospital to do it... also, one stops the bleeding by tying the tourniquet above the wound if the wound is located on the leg or arm.. it causes for the blood flow to stop but can't be kept for too long, because, well the blood stops..but at least it stops you from bleeding out
