So, that foreshadowing for Riga continent it's to happen about 150 years in future I guess

So why the change on the barrier?? A few chapters ago they were going to set the barrier to block anything higher than Mortal Transcending or whatever and the barrier was "Self Sustaining" since it pulling energy from space.. And it was said that as long as Formation thing was in tact it would never deteriorate even if it wasn't on the planet. Now all of a sudden it only has 150 years and the barrier will be gone?
