Oh my, I spent the first 90% of the chapter unbelievably annoyed for Maxi, wanting to throat punch a certain princess (Maxi should really consider demonstrating some blatant PDAs when the Princess is being like that) then the last paragraph feeling vaguely ashamed at my priorities because people are being assaulted with boulders…

The princess must thought Maxi is like your typical submissive wife and that she should be quiet and not order around. Riftan went up to her and stand up for his wife. This woman doesn't give up with all her tactics can't she whatever she does Riftan will ignore and reject. Her rejected you in the past and he will still reject you, girl leave, move on, Riftan doesn't care about just in a romantically way and never will as he has already someone is his heart, just give up your coquetries.
