Riftan is slowly communicating more with Maxi without it being forced and the cloak over shoulder 😍. starting to see glimpses of the Riftan we know and love. Who else thinks about the mummy movie with Brendan Freaser when their in cave.

guys, they’re in the middle of nowhere with almost 2 hundreds people around. can you imagine how embarrassed Maxi would be if EVERYONE will hear them… *cough* 😅 but I’m tired of waiting too. can they at least have mutual understanding? it’s nice that Riftan cares about her, but still 😒

They are now talking more naturally between the two of them. Just what I like to see.

Riftan is a man of few words and when he speaks he often sounds brusque. But it's his actions like these that loudly screams "I'm in love with you Maxi. And I will do everything and anything to protect you and keep you safe." It's nice having someone who anticipates your needs even before you can say anything. He can be harsh but I swoon over him everytime he does something nice to Maxi.

"A bath! I found a bath!" "You're dying for a bath too, aren't you, Max? Come, let's take one together!"

while I love this story the wait for new chapters is grueling. I'm the type of person to read a book cover to cover in a day or two, consumed by it. This pace is making me all kinds of cranky and frustrated.
