Suji Kim
I love how the author (KSJ) can immediately dive into action and make it feel so natural. We didnt have to wait 10 chapters before the key characters are introduced, and almost right away we get an inkling into why Riftan is so obsessed with Maxi. I also love how we get to see the “raw” version of Maxi, and this shows she was actually born quite brave and willing to do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves. It also makes it even more heartbreaking to look back and realize that by the time she has grown up (in Book 1), her father had already beaten every last shred of confidence in her and she had become this timid, sheltered snowflake.
you know, the feeling we all feel when were done reading a good book and we get back to our reality. yeah, stuff like that. i hope i am not the only weirdo thinking about the world we live in should be like one we always wanted it to be. a place where innocent children wont get beaten, wise elders... honestly, ive never know UTOT exists in WN until a few months ago, and by the time i've found it, it already coming to its end. i remember the 1st paragraph depressed me, but i kept reading it. until some particular chapters i realized why Maxi is so "dumb" (that chap. about Maxi said knight got a kiss from a beatiful woman), i cried a lot. its not that shes dumb or smth, bc such feelings are fresh to Maxi. for someone who is being bullied for the rest of her life and suddenly opening her heart to someone else, ofc there's a whole lot love and care she wanted to show. i was so jealous of their love. alright 🤧 UTOT was a great novel. it brought back my inner girl. ive lost count on how many times i binge reading UTOT. author Kim, take care of your health, and your wrists and eyes. 🫰🫶🏻🫰
