This next part is so stressful. Book 1 is almost over, and for awhile Maxi and Riftan's separation. Unfortunately this was the only thing they could do to stop the Duke. There was no other solution. But Riftan isn't going to like this at all, he will feel so betrayed that Maxi will agree to this without discussing it with him. The upcoming scenes are too heart breaking. (╥﹏╥) THIS IS ALL THE DUKE's FAULT 😤 Why do you have to be so stubborn?!! Now our main couple will have to be apart for awhile 😭

Poor Riftan. He waited most of his life to be with Max. He doesn't want to leave Maxi's side. Poor Maxi. She wants nothing more than to live with her husband in peace. This will put a strain on their marriage. They were separated for 3 years following their wedding because of the dragon campaign. Now another 3 - 4 years? Maybe Maxi can get herself expelled after 1 year because she would not be a good student?
