I bet Riftan is jealous. He sees and hears Maxi talking to everyone but him. Then Maxi knows she is putting a wall up between them. One of them has to take a step up to communicate with each other. Although they are probably already closer then any other couple in this story so far.

Maxi is getting more and more confident! Too bad it seems like Riftan is having a hard time coping but I hope they find their way back.
