I like these chapters!! I was actually wondering how an idealist like Eileen would take seeing the harsher side of Aldrich, so I think this chapter definitely improved the story!! its cool seeing how much depth each character has, and how their different morals and backgrounds shape their various relationships with both Aldrich and the other members of the legion đ
I liked it. Good development all in the span of a single chapter. At the end of the day though its all a balancing act. I've read some stories where anyone not the mc basically didn't exist. And I have read stories where the author drags out advancing the plot for too long, focusing 10+ chapters in a row on random women simping for the mc that are then immediatly forgotten about. This however felt like the right amount of time spent on development, and it was spent on actual relevant characters to plot/legion. Once more, I say great writting!
I think these sorts of conversations are important to the story. You're right, they're not that exciting. Nothing wrong with that at all. Not everything has to be a flashy, exciting moment. Times like these help us to understand who the characters really are as individuals and how they are feeling about events. This is great. And thanks for the chapter.
