"Nobody would every marry him. Nobody would ever associate with him." WOW!!! Isn't that a bit to strong of a reaction to someone who doesn't have super powers? He can at least be a 4-5 star chef and own and run a restaurant or own and manage a business. Non of that requires super powers. I'll forgive the author this small brain laps and hope that the story gets a bit smarter down the road..
I know you probably won't see this but I just picked up this novel and it's given me chills like no other an I actually feel and care for the Mc because they feel real with true motivation and aren't a kind heartwarming goody too shoes that afraid of their own power
John_Doever:It’s called systematic discrimination. you think a black slave could have just gotten successful running a restaraunt In the 1800s in southern America? Even if they were the best cook in the world? No, because they would be denied opportunities based on uncontrollable factors like the color of their skin which don’t even have bearing on their abilities Lacking a power is just one part of it, it’s the discrimination that completely removes all oppprtunity in this fictional society where humanity has basically funneled all of its discrimination against people with no powers
yum.. a unhealthy amount of info dump. me love (i physically cringed when i read the seizure part- if he was as broken as u say, he would have lost all logic and went for the tridents as a dud. obv he got rescued before he gets himself killed and thats how u 'show' he's as defective as he is mentally rather than tell us abt a 'seizure') anw that's my two cents on it
