Comments of chapter undefined of Cosmic Professional Gladiator

Someone know if jingming need to absorb sunlight to breakthrough to level 7?because I am confused. In the raws it says he can't breakthrough because his mental strength is not high enough. But there's no mention of sunlight at all.
