Yes author you can do it. I myself was a stuck up person, immersed in my own delusional world. Until recently, a year ago, I was diagnosed with depression, after my father's passing away. After that I realised that I was so naive and started to change my ways and going against my mom's way of teaching (my mom was just like how it's being depicted in this story). So all the best author. I have great expectations for this story.đ
I also hope that Cecilia character would develop for the better. And I hope all the best for u too. It's good that u realized & admitted ur weak point because for some ppl it is not easy & for some ppl who are stubborn about it will be a downfall for them.
