taking way to long to bring Edward to justice and you really didn't explain his background unless you did but I might have passed it do to the 8 or more chapters of the ritual and its still 1st year

take your time my suggestion hit up and read some books with the Mc becoming a spellcaster or take some time to watch some scfi shows with magic themes you might get a spark of inspiration or come up with a scene for the next leg of your story😙
