This goes to show that Esme had endured a lot from Ethan before she snapped and got a hold on herself to get away from him once and for all. Ethan's so much of a control freak and so fierce with her whenever things don't go the way he wanted it. Like this anticipated cooperation from the Redwood pack's Alpha that didn't go through and then she's being blamed by Ethan for it but admitting afterwards that he didn't mean to hurt her. 😒🤨😑

I knew it was coming but still I gasped when he hit her! This was fantastic writing, the build up had me in sweats and we can clearly see the manipulation and the power of Ethan over Esme. Him apologising at the end and Esme accepting his sh- tty apology broke my heart 💔

Ouch. This is just how it is, making excuses for them and taking the blame cuz they couldn't actually mean to do what they do if they truly love you, and then the self doubt over every little thing. The anxiety and fear of doing something wrong... I hope she hurts him before she leaves.
