Thank the heavens for Min Sezhui, she relieved Yun of the dilemma he was in. It always takes a death scare for people to realise that they haven't been living the best life with their loved ones, just like Yuan and Ziyi.

This chapter is so emotional in so many ways and in someways we see those emotions that each character has been hiding. I think Gu Wei not being involved or being involved either way would destroy him if anything happened to Zai. He loves him so much and it’s so painful to see it from his perspective! MS is such a joy even when things are hard, she is such an underrated character. In fact her simple nature is what makes her better than and smarter than any other person- I mean who else than someone who thinks simply would be able to see clearly in these kind of complicated situations? Yun is learning a huge deal with Zai not being here-it’s heartbreaking but good for his own development too if you know what I mean?

😑 I get what Gu Wei was saying, I really do, and I understand where he is coming from and why he thinks that way, but it really makes me feel like he is belittling his son and Yuns relationship. And he always seems to be shoving it in Yun's face that he and Zai are extremely close and that Zai respects him so much. From the way he was at their estate ordering them meals as if he was the master of the house, to the way he reprimanded Yun for his actions before the hunt, and made his 'suggestions' to Yun on how they should move against the former king after he found out about Yun's pregnancy, it always feels like he is trying to show Yun he is always going to be the most important/significant person in Zai's life. And Yun is always protecting Zai from the shady things Gu Wei has done/continues to do to protect their bond, so it feels really petty when Gu Wei does this! I definitely don't think he should have the final say in this decision. Zai is married, and the king. His husband and consort should have the final say in this, which I think Zai would want because he trusts him in all things, but Yun was just feeling scared and looking for advice. I don't appreciate the way Gu Wei stated his view. He didn't need to imply that their love was less than his. Just rubbed me wrong. But I suppose thats true to his character cause he usually irritates me. 💁‍♀️ So thanks for the consistency I guess. 😁

the only free woman who chooses not to leave the place .. i so wish she finds someone to love and someone who loves her back just as much.. naturally Zai would do absolutely anything to save Yun if the roles where reversed... I think it maybe corpse poison cause they tested for everything else.. Yun should give him the antidote.. I don't think Ru Long would fall for whatever trap Chu Hean thinks he can entice him to...
