When the true rationale behind Chu Hean and the Prince of Su's actions are revealed, I still won't like them and I would limit my interactions with them, they are both selfish and don't care who is hurt in the process to achieve their goals.
I think the most interesting and confusing thing about this scene is what Hean's original plans were in Zui. He clearly doesn't think he can trust Yun or Xiao Zai, but if the hunt had gone as originally intended with Yun as the prey, was his plan to let him die? He clearly had the means to escape himself so he could have saved his brother, but I can't tell if he feels enough affection for him to have done it or not. He clearly thinks Yun is just a prejudiced alpha, but even with all the revelations about Hean, Yun would still never wish him harm, and I wonder if Hean feels the same way. I really love that the only straightforward characters in this are the King of Zui (evil) and Xiao Zai (adorable). Even those two are really interesting, even if not morally ambiguous. If Hean was really okay with Yun dying, that's very upsetting and I would hate him forever, but at least he's not boring.
I kinda hope that CY x XZ pulls some bluff like says that Chu Hean's lie to be XZ'S omega concubine was actually accepted by the King of Zui, and part of their purpose for being at the Academy is to let CH know that he's now engaged to XZ. Like his plan just blew up in his own face. And add that the King of Zui sent a message to the King of Xin requesting CH's marriage/engagement, so now CH can't avoid it since its basically a royal degree from a King. Just to see the look on Chu Hean x the Su Prince's face. Especially with how petty they're being, if it was me I'd definitely mess with them for p* ssing me off. đ¤đ
CH seems to hate the fact that omegas, regardless of rank, basically end up treated as glorified pros titutes to alphas (i.e. when they end up as one of many wives/concubines to one alpha husband). At least based on the conversations he's had with CY. So what I don't understand is what he expects to come out of his relationship with the Su Prince. Like, Kings usually take many Concubines too. So when the prince becomes a king, does CH not think that the ministers wouldn't pressure their new king to take many wives/make the usual ha r*m? Or did the Prince of Su make a promise to CH that he'd only marry him, similarly to the promise XZ made to CY? And, if so, how likely is that promise even going to hold true? Unless CH was implying that he x the Su Prince believe they're soulmates too, like how CY x XZ feel.
Is this dude serious?!! None of Hean's actions ended up prejudicial to them?!! He almost got both his brother and brother-in-law killed and he shows no remorse!!! I doubt that without Yun, the dowager and Gu Wei's quick actions they would of got out of that mess alive!! Sure he maybe is fighting for equal rights or something but he threw his brother under the bus!! Yun has always treated Hean well and worried about his well-being, even when he was acting so suss!! He might of said some things that were not great about their positions in the world, but he has never jumped to conclusions and always has been trying to get Hean to explain his actions, and even has been considering his viewpoints, but Hean just chucks tantrums and acts like Yun is just as bad as people like the king of Zui!! Neither Yun nor Zai treat the other 'ranks' bad, and I think they are open to improving their situations.
yep, this place is definitely some sort of progressive/radical school that empowers omegas to think and act for themselves. that's what I'm hoping for đ¤ and while i dislike how he's gone about it, I'm still holding out how that Chu Hean, and his bf, will redeem themselves. Chu Yun obviously loves his brother and i think would be on his side of given the chance.
